The Foundation created it's first parade float for the annual Titusville Christmas Parade, which took place on December 9th, 2017. Our President Bill was the Grand Marshall, and over 10,000 people were estimated to be in attendance!! Thank you to everyone that came out to support the foundation, especially the 9U Oviedo Chargers and their families who all came out to help with the float and pass out candy. We can't wait for next year's parade!
On November 19th, 2017, The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation and JAX Impact gathered at the intersection of Collegiate Way and Alafaya Trail to have a ceremony that honored victims of road traffic fatalities. Multiple families from across the state of Florida came out to hear the proclamations issued by Orange County Mayor Theresa Jacobs and Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, and also participate in a candlelight vigil to honor their loved ones. Special thanks to JAX Impact and the families that came out to bring awareness to the community.
Across the country, National Night Out gives communities the chance to mix and mingle with local law enforcement, first responders, and other vendors for a night of food and fun, The Foundation was asked to attend to introduce the community to Keri.
The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation was the title sponsor of the 2017 Walk Like MADD, held on Memory Mall on UCF campus. With the help of donations from all of our generous supporters, we were able to raise over $7,500.00 for MADD. We brought together over 200 people from Florida and New Jersey to raise awareness about the consequences of drunk and impaired driving. Way to go Team #KeriAnneDeMottMatters!
The Foundation hosted it's first annual banquet at the UCF Live Oak Center. We presented awards, gave two scholarships to the IPTM conference, and had great prizes in our silent auction from Wahlburgers, Jimmy John's, Flippers, The Miami Marlins, The Orlando Magic, UCF Men's Baseball, and many more. Thank you to everyone who attended!
